KU men’s bowling team wins tournament

The KU men’s bowling team successfully defended its title at the Colgate Invitational Tournament on Monday in Maple Shade, N.J.

The No. 7 KU men finished first, leading throughout the tournament and topping second-place and No. 3-ranked Saginaw Valley by more than 500 pins. The team’s three-game team series total of 3671 pins was just six pins from the Collegiate bowling record.

Rhino Page finished first individuall with a 240 average, and Marc D’Errico finished third with a 236.7 average. Both were named to the men’s All Tournament team.

Kelly Zapf led the KU women to a 15th place finish. Zapf averaged 230 and was named to the women’s All Tournament team.
