Kansas has moved up one spot to No. 18 in this week’s AP Top 25 with Saturday’s victory over California.
The Jayhawks (7-3) are the next-to-lowest ranked Big 12 team, ahead of just No. 25 Texas Tech (8-1). Other ranked teams in the conference include No. 7 Texas (7-2), No. 10 Oklahoma (6-2) and No. 16 Missouri (6-1). Oklahoma State and Iowa State also received votes.
Alabama (9-0) is still the top-ranked team, with 35 of 71 first-place votes. The rest of the top five are Pittsburgh (9-0), Duke (7-0), Arizona (6-1) and Connecticut (8-0).
