Ryan Klocksien had four of the Jayhawks’ 17 hits in the opener and scored three runs. Kevin Wheeler, Spanish and Baty each had three hits for the Jayhawks.
Baty and Klocksien both homered.
Matt Hopper led Nebraska (30-15, 14-10) with three hits, including a two-run homer in the third when the Cornhuskers scored all their runs.
