The wait continues.

Kansas All-American Drew Gooden technically has until May 12 to declare an early entry into the NBA draft. But Jayhawk fans will know the junior’s fate sooner than that.

At a Monday afternoon press conference, head coach Roy Williams told the media that an announcement will be made at 4 p.m. Friday, with the location yet to be determined.

As for his insights into the situation, Williams said he wasn’t even sure which way the Big 12 Player of the Year was leaning.

Gooden has been projected as a possible Top 5 pick.
