Symposium honors KU professor of Spanish

A Kansas University professor of Spanish will be honored at a symposium Friday and Saturday at KU.

Andrew Debicki, who has taught at KU since 1968, has written more than 10 books on Latin American and Spanish poetry of the 20th century.

Friends and former students of Debicki will give tributes to him during “The Discovery of Poetry,” which begins at 9 a.m. Friday and continues until noon Saturday in the Malott Room of the Kansas Union. The free sessions are open to the public.
