Orlando ? Senior striker Hilla Rantala scored a pair of first half goals as Kansas’ defeated the University of Central Florida, 2-1, at the UCF Arena Soccer Field Sunday.
The Golden Knights opened the scoring on Jackie Kutudis’ goal at the 8:09 mark.
The Jayhawks responded only two minutes later when Rantala scored her sixth goal of the year on assists from Brooke Jones and Monica Brothers. Rantala struck once again after taking a cross from fellow senior Natalie Hoogveld, scoring over UCF goalkeeper Jessica Kuhlman from 15 yards out in the 36th minute.
Kansas outshot UCF 14-7.
