Kansas netters ousted

? Kansas University’s women’s tennis team was eliminated from the ITA Central Regional Tournament Saturday in Tulsa, Okla.

Twins Courntey and Kristen Steinbock lost their first doubles match as they were defeated by Colorado State’s Sanja Hanssen and Catherine Sulivan 9-8.

KU’s Kim Lorenz and sophomore Emily Haylock won their second round match by defeating Tulsa’s 10th-seeded Zingman sisters, Johanna and Gabriella, 8-3.

In their third round match, Lorenz and Haylock were defeated by Oklahoma State’s Dominika Olszewska and Ashleigh Dolman 8-2, later in the evening.

Cheryl Mallaiah and freshman Paige Brown lost their second round match to New Mexico’s Michelle Heidbrink and Sandy Lukowski 8-5.
