Texas Tech committed only one turnover in the entire game. What a time for it. Marcus Rogers snagged a second-and-six toss from Tech’s backup quarterback to seal a rare Big 12 road win for the Jayahwks.
With five minutes to go in the game, Kansas was still down by eleven points to the Red Raiders. The Jayhawks tied the game with just 17 seconds to go.
After trading touchdowns, a rouging the kicker penalty at the end of the first overtime pushed KU back to the 40-yard line to start the second OT. Johnny Beck nailed his third field goal attempt of the game to put KU up by three. That 37-yarder proved the game-winner.
