Kansas University athletics director Al Bohl announced Monday the appointment of a 16-person search committee to find a replacement for former football coach Terry Allen.
John Ferraro, professor in the department of hearing and speech at KU and chair of the KUAC Board, will serve as chair of the search committee. Other faculty representatives include Don Green and Diana Carlin.
Also included are six former Jayhawk football players Willie Amison, Ray Evans, Galen Fiss, Curtis McClinton, Gale Sayers and David Winbush. In addition to Winbush, student representation is Amanda Leland, a member of the KU rowing team.
Other alumni representatives are John Mize of Salina and Ken Wagnon of Wichita. Others on the committee are Reggie Robinson, counsel to the chancellor; Janelle Martin, associate athletics director and senior women’s administrator; Richard Konzem, associate AD; and KU track coach Stanley Redwine.
