Kansas University senior golfer Andy Stewart qualified for the NCAA Championships with his third-place NCAA regional finish on Saturday.

“I am extremely happy for Andy,” Kansas coach Ross Randall said. “He played well at the regionals, and to not only be near the lead at that tournament, but to get to qualify for the NCAA Tournament is a nice reward. Andy played as well as anyone at the regionals and the last few tournaments.”

Stewart has been the top Jayhawk individual at four tournaments, with his best finish being third place twice. He ranks third on the team for lowest stroke average at 74.49.
