Buick taps ex-Jayhawk Gogel

Former Kansas University golf standout Matt Gogel, now in his second year on the PGA Tour, has signed a sponsorship agreement with Buick.

Gogel, 30, finished 80th in PGA Tour money last year with $604,199. His best finish was a tie for second place at the Pebble Beach National pro-am.

Gogel, who lives in Mission Hills, was an All-American at Kansas in 1994. Gogel has entered 13 events so far this year, made the cut five times and earned $72,351.
