? Kansas University’s men’s tennis team handed Baylor its first Big 12 regular-season loss in nearly two years, 5-2, on Friday afternoon at BU’s Stretch Tennis Courts.

The Jayhawks improved to 10-7 overall, 1-1 in Big 12. Baylor drops to 7-5, 4-1.

“This win shows that we are a very good tennis team and we have proven again that we can beat anybody on any given day when we play together as team,” KU coach Ross Nwachukwu said. “It should serve notice that we’ll be a team to watch at the Big 12 Championships.”

After winning the doubles point, Kansas captured victories at the Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 6 positions.

Kansas will face Texas Tech on Sunday in Lubbock, Texas.
