Junior Megan Urquhart, who plays third base for Kansas University’s softball team, was named the Big 12’s softball player of the week.
Urquhart, from Shawnee, hit .643 with three doubles, a triple and 10 RBIs in leading the Jayhawks to the title of their Holiday Inn Invitational last weekend. She had four multiple-hit games in the tourney and was 3-for-4 with three RBIs in the championship game against Tulsa.
