Kansas University’s men’s basketball team will finish either in a tie for second or place fourth in the Big 12 regular season men’s basketball standings.
The Jayhawks, 11-4, will finish in a tie for second with both Texas and Oklahoma at 12-4, if they defeat Missouri today.
A loss today would drop the Jayhawks into sole possession of fourth place at 11-5.
A victory would give KU the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Big 12 Tournament. KU has the tiebreaker over Texas and OU (head-to-head competition).
In that scenario, KU would play Thursday’s Kansas State-Nebraska winner at 6 p.m. Friday at Kemper Arena.
If KU loses today, the Jayhawks would play at 2:20 p.m. Friday against Texas Tech or Oklahoma State.
Iowa State is league champion at 13-3.
