KU qualifies for NCAA in distance medley relay

Kansas University’s men’s distance medley team qualified for the NCAA Championships with a time of 9:39.16, at the Alex Wilson Invitational held at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.

Meanwhile, KU’s women’s 4×400 relay team set a school record with a time of 3:44.10, and senior Eric Patterson ran the second-fastest 60-meter high hurdles in school history (7.97) in a meet in Ames, Iowa.

Also in Iowa were Jennifer Foster (shot put, 45-91/4), Laura Lavoie (800 meters – 2:12.38), Katy Eisenmenger (800 meters, 2:12.94), Eve Lamborn (mile, 5:04.89), Derec Lacio (800 meters, 1:54.11) and Keith Wellman (800 meters, 1:55.21).
