Four preps commit to KU

Kansas University’s football team has picked up four more nonbinding oral commitments.

The four were: Keith Watts, a 6-foot-3, 250-pound defensive end from Tampa (Fla.) Armwood High; Brian Luke, a 6-5, 215-pound quarterback from Las Lomas, Calif.; Ronnie Amadi, a 6-foot, 174-pound cornerback from Alief (Texas) Hastings High; and Jeremy Freeman, a 6-2, 220-pound linebacker from Dibol, Texas.

Watts, who committed to KU coach Terry Allen in person Tuesday, was a second-team all stater last season.

Luke, who picked KU over Oregon, Illinois and San Jose State, was an all-league, all-county and all-district pick as a senior and led Las Lomas to the state title game.

“My grandpa and future sister-in-law went to KU, so I heard a lot of great things about it,” Luke told online recruiting service MoKan Football. “Kansas is where I fit in and feel I have an opportunity to show what I can do.”

Amadi, an all-district pick, picked KU over Missouri, Tulane and Louisiana Tech.

Freeman, an all-district pick, selected Kansas over Baylor and Louisiana Tech.
