Defensive back Carl Nesmith is the lone Kansas University senior who will participate in the East-West Shrine Classic on Saturday in San Francisco.
Nesmith is one of 13 Big 12 seniors on the East roster, coached by Mack Brown of Texas. Other names on the East roster are Hodges Mitchell of Texas and Jonathan Beasley of Kansas State.
Oklahoma’s Ontei Jones and Colorado’s Thomas Ashworth will represent the Big 12 for the West squad.
Saturday’s telecast will begin at 3 p.m. on ESPN (Cable channel 48).
