Kansas University won five of seven morning races and six of seven afternoon races at its Jayhawk Rowing Invitational on Saturday at Clinton Lake.
“As a team, I feel we raced really well,” KU coach Rob Catloth said. “All the teams had to fight the win today, and that made it even more of a challenge, but we were still successful.”
KU’s novice boats won all their races by at least seven seconds.
The Jayhawk Rowing Invitational moved to Clinton Lake because of high water on the Kansas River will conclude today. It is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m., but windy conditions could push the start back to 9 a.m.
It is the KU rowing team’s only home event of the season.
