KU golfers leading Rice tournament

? Kansas University senior Andy Stewart shot a second-round 70 Monday for a 36-hole total of 138 and a share of the lead in the Rice Intercollegiate golf tournament.

KU led the 10-team field with a 571 total. Mississippi State was second with 575. Stewart is tied with Mississippi State’s Codie Mudd for first place.

Monday in Katy, Texas

Team scores: Kansas 571, Mississippi State 575, Baylor 585, Rice 586, Lamar 590, Texas Tech 593, Missouri 596, Nebraska 599, Southwest Texas State 603, Kansas State 611.
