? Kansas University’s men’s bowling team held fifth place among 35 teams Saturday after the first day of the South Jersey Winter Classic. KU’s women’s team was eighth among 28 teams.

Alan Emmons led the KU men with a 240 average, followed by Mike Keller at 214 and Ryan Ludwig at 210. Saginaw Valley State led the men’s standings with 6,872 pins. KU totaled 6,249 pins.

Annetta Manathei led KU’s women with a 209 average, followed by Kristina Boehm at 208. Indiana State led the women’s team standings with 6,317 pins. KU totaled 5,805 pins.

The tournament concludes today.
