Des Moines, Iowa ? Kansas University’s Ryan Speers placed sixth in the shot put on Saturday at the Drake Relays.
Speers had a toss of 57-61/2.
Also, KU’s distance medley relay team placed fifth in 9:51.5.
The women’s 3,200 relay team finished second in 8:53.16, for the third best time in KU history.
Kansas University’s Andrea Bulat placed third in the javelin at the Drake Relays.
Bulat, a junior from Windsor, Ontario, threw 148-5. Also, KU’s women’s distance medley relay team placed seventh in 11:37.62, the third fastest time in school history. Jeremy Hull placed ninth in the pole vault with a leap of 16-51/2.
