Boschee’s surgery a success

By Staff     Apr 20, 2001

Kansas University junior Jeff Boschee had successful surgery on his right thumb on Thursday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Boschee, a 6-foot-1 basketball shooting guard from Valley City, N.D., will wear a cast and be out of action six weeks.

The surgery, which reconstructed a ligament in Boschee’s shooting thumb, was performed by Dr. Neil Lintecum. The ligament had become unstable after multiple minor injuries throughout his career.

Boschee averaged 11.1 points and 3.5 assists for the 26-7 Jayhawks.
