KU women take ninth

? Kansas University’s women golfers placed ninth Sunday with a three-round total of 948 at the Hawkeye Invitational at Finkbine Golf Course.

Senior Ashley Bishop led KU with a 235 score. She shot a 77 in the final round and tied for 23rd overall.

KU senior Sarah Mahoney, who had a hole-in-one on Saturday, tied for 26th with a 236 score.

Sophomore Tiffany Kruggel (237), sophomore Heather Rose (242) and freshman Jennifer Bawanan (244) completed KU’s scoring.

Next for KU is the Big 12 Championship on April 23-25 in Ames, Iowa.
