Texas Tech blanks KU in softball

? Kansas University’s softball team rapped eight hits, but left nine players on base in a 1-0 loss to Texas Tech in Big 12 action on Sunday.

Shelly Musser had three hits for the Jayhawks, who fell to 20-19 overall and 4-4 in the Big 12.

Amanda Renfro went the distance, striking out four for Tech, 27-16 overall and 5-3 in the league.

KU’s Kirsten Milhoan started and worked four innings, allowing one run on two hits. Erin Garvey, Leah Tabb, Courtney Wright, Amy Hulse and Christi Musser had hits for Kansas.
