? Matt Farnum threw his second shutout of the season Friday night, leading Texas A&M to a 8-0 victory over Kansas in front of 4,762 fans.

The freshman went the distance and scattered seven hits while striking out 10 Jayhawks, who dipped to 14-20 overall and 2-14 in the Big 12 with their ninth consecutive loss.

After getting only one hit the first four innings, the Aggies (23-12, 8-5 Big 12) touched Jayhawk starter Pete Smart for two runs on three hits. Jason Gremminger began the inning with a single and advanced to second on a passed ball.

Gremminger advanced to third when Travis Wong grounded out to first and scored on Ryan Wardinsky’s second single of the game. Wardinsky moved to second on a balk and scored on Eric Reed’s base hit.

The Aggies exploded for four runs in the bottom of the seventh.
