Modesto, Calif., high school basketball forward Chuck Hayes is at the University of Texas-El Paso today for his second of five scheduled campus recruiting visits.
Hayes, a 6-foot-6, 230-pounder, visited Kansas last weekend and had an in-home visit with Roy Williams Wednesday night.
“Professional and classy,” Modesto Christian coach Gary Porter said of KU’s presentation. “Chuck and his parents are very impressed with Kansas.
“They decided two things No.1, every time he (Hayes) talks to a school, coach Williams asked him to remember Kansas and his visit. No. 2, coach Williams asked him to keep him updated. Chuck agreed to both.”
Hayes will visit Kentucky on Oct. 13. He’s also scheduled a visit to St. Louis next weekend and Pepperdine Oct. 20.
