KU coach counsels Pritchard

New Kansas City Knights coach Kevin Pritchard brought a pen and notepad to a Thursday morning chalk talk with Kansas University basketball coach Roy Williams.

Pritchard said he was a sponge in Williams’ office, soaking up ideas on how to best coach Kansas City’s new American Basketball Assn. team.

“It was all philosophy. How to run a team. How to start a team from scratch. What defenses and offenses to use,” Pritchard said Thursday night. “I tried to write as much down as I could. Those notes I’ll keep the rest of my life. I’ll never, ever throw them away. “
