Kansas fifth at Topy Cup

? Kansas University and Tohoku Fukushi both fired 286s for the lowest second-round team scores in the Topy Cup golf tournament on Wednesday.

Kansas moved into fifth place, 10 strokes behind Tohoku Fukushi going into today’s final round of the 54-hole tournament.

Senior Conrad Roberts carded a 69 for a two-round total of 143 that placed him in a tie for sedond in the running for mealist honors. Roberts and a Fukushi golfer are two strokes back of the leader.

Junior Chris Marshall recorded a 71 for a two-day total of 144 that had him tied for fourth place in individual standings.

KU’s Andy Stewart and Casey Harbour both notched 73s for totals of 150 and 151 respectively, while Jason DeBuhr came in with a 76 after struggling to an 85 in the first round.

Kansas is one of four U.S. schools competing in the 11-team tourney.
