Oklahoma State blanks KU tennis

By Staff     Oct 31, 2000

It was a clean sweep for Oklahoma State tennis, as they defeated the Jyahawks in every match played as part of the ITA Region V Championships.

The only bright spot on the day was in the final doubles’ match, where Andrew Metzler and David Stauffer defeated OSU’s Jiri Jezek and Justin Ewert, 8-6. By that time the championship had already been decided.

The loss to the Cowbpoys concludes the Jayhawks’ fall season. The men’s tennis team returns to action January 20 against SW Missouri State and Creighton here in Lawrence.
