Jayhawks tie Baylor, 1-1

? Kansas University tied Baylor, 1-1, on Sunday and is locked in a tie for sixth place in the Big 12 Conference race. Only the top eight teams qualify for the conference tournament Nov. 1-4.

Brianna Valento staked KU to a 1-0 lead in the 24th minute, but Baylor’s Molly Cameron tied the game in the 84th minute. Kansas outshot Baylor 7-4 in two overtime periods, but neither scored again.

KU goalkeeper Sarah Gonzalez made eight saves, including two in overtime.

KU (7-9-2, 3-5-1 Big 12) will conclude the regular season Friday at Missouri. The Jayhawks can clinch their first trip to the Big 12 Tournament with a win over the Tigers.
