TULSA, OKLA. ? Kansas University’s Emily Haylock went unbeaten in both singles and doubles play, capturing two flight titles at the Hurricane Tennis Invitational Sunday.
Haylock, a freshman from Warnamboo, Australia, beat Tulsa’s Mariana Barrios 6-3, 7-6 (4) in the No. 4 singles final.
Haylock lost only one set en route to three victories and the flight title.
Haylock also combined with fellow Jayhawk Kim Lorenz to capture the top spot in doubles flight No. 2. The Kansas duo knocked off Tulsa’s Bianca Posada and Aleksandra Durska, 8-4, in the championship round.
Freshman Courtney Steinbock lost her No. 2 singles title match, 7-6 (6), 6-2 to Texas Christian’s Paty Aburto. KU senior Monica Sekulov reached the finals in the top singles flight, falling 6-2, 6-2 to Durska.
