Missouri coach Quin Snyder yes. Kansas coach Roy Williams no. That’s the gist of a survey that appears in this week’s Sports Illustrated.
SI asked one player from each men’s basketball team in the Big 12 Conference to rate the coach they’d most like to play for and least like to play for. Snyder led the positive category and Williams the negative. One unnamed player said Williams is overrated.
“I’ve had a lot more kids who have written me letters and told me they’d love to have played for me,” Williams said. “Look on down there. Gene Keady (Purdue) is on there, too. He is a pretty demanding coach. He’s won more Big Ten titles than anybody the last several years.”
