Austin, Texas ? Texas swept Kansas University, 15-1, 15-2, 16-14, on Wednesday at Gregory Gymnasium. The Jayhawks fell to record 14-13 (5-13), while UT improved to 9-16 overall (7-10). The Jayhawks must win one of their remaining two matches to avoid falling below .500 for the first time in over two years.
Freshman middle blocker Jordan Garrison had a career-best six block assists. KU’s Amy Myatt, who entered the match needing 24 kills to break the school-record for most kills in a season, recorded a season-low five.
KU will meet Missouri at 7 p.m. Saturday at Horejsi Center.
