Wyatt watch continues

By Staff     Dec 20, 2000

Kansas University associate head football coach Darrell Wyatt deliberated another day whether to return to KU for a fourth season or to join good friend Mike Gundy on Les Miles’ staff at Oklahoma State.

Late last month, Wyatt was promoted to associate head coach/offensive coordinator at KU as part of head coach Terry Allen’s wholesale changes to his assistant coaching staff.

Then OSU hired Miles, Miles hired Gundy and the Cowboys asked Wyatt to come work in Stillwater, Okla.

On Monday, Wyatt said he hoped to have a decision made by Tuesday.

“Nothing yet,” Allen said Tuesday evening. “He’s down there talking to them now. I would guess that, since I didn’t hear anything yet, I won’t hear anything until (today).”
