Garage-sale patrons can have a field day a week from today.
Kansas University’s athletic department will be selling jerseys, uniforms, warm-ups and equipment used by KU athletic teams. The sale will be at the Horejsi Center next to Allen Fieldhouse.
“All items will be priced to move,” KU associate AD Jim Marchiony said. “Anything we don’t sell we will donate to local charities.”
Doors on the north side of the Horejsi Center will open to the public at 8 a.m. July 24. All sales will be final, and only cash will be accepted. The sale will end at 4 p.m.

Kansas University’s men’s basketball team will hold its annual clinic for Special Olympics on Feb. 18 in Allen Fieldhouse.
KU players and coach Roy Williams will help Special Olympics athletes sharpen their skills, encourage them as they scrimmage, answer questions and sign autographs.
Kansas University’s men’s basketball team will conduct its annual youth clinic from 1-5 p.m. on Dec. 31 in Allen Fieldhouse.
The clinic is for boys and girls in grades three through eight. Activities include instruction in fundamentals by KU players and coaches, and a one-hour photo and autograph session.
Participants will receive a T-shirt, a KU basketball calendar and a ticket to the KU-Nebraska game on Jan. 17.
Registration will be from noon to 1 p.m. on Dec. 31. Cost is $50. Checks should be made out to Roy Williams Basketball Clinic prior to arrival at the fieldhouse.
