Leavenworth ? Kansas signee Wayne Simien scored 27 points to lift Leavenworth High to a 59-50 boys basketball victory over Kansas City (Mo.) Rockhurst in the Leavenworth Invitational final Saturday night.
Kansas City Sumner’s Jeff Hawkins, who has orally committed to Kansas, plans to red-shirt at KU the 2001-02 season. His intended red-shirt season at KU was listed incorrectly in Sunday’s Journal-World.
