Gregory to miss DePaul game

Kansas senior Kenny Gregory, who has been hobbled by a stress fracture in his right foot, will miss Tuesday’s game against DePaul, KU coach Roy Williams said Saturday.

Gregory did not practice Saturday and will not practice while receiving treatment through the DePaul game at Chicago’s United Center.

No further X-rays are planned, just rest for the foot. Gregory’s stress fracture is in a joint, which is not as serious as a fracture in a bone.

“I’ll rest it as much as possible,” said Gregory, KU’s leading scorer at 17.9 points a game. “It’s something we don’t want to linger all season.”

It’s possible he could return for KU’s game against Tulsa next Saturday at Allen Fieldhouse.

KU’s Jeff Boschee, who re-sprained his left ankle in Thursday’s loss at Wake Forest, practiced full speed on Saturday.
