Lawrence’s Haack among walk-ons

Aaron Haack, an offensive lineman from Lawrence High, is among eight walk-on candidates expected for the start of Kansas University football preseason drills.

A total of 31 newcomers are expected to report on Sunday with the remainder of the 105-man squad scheduled to report next Wednesday.

Haack, a 6-foot-2, 237-pounder, was a second-team All-Sunflower League selection last season.

The other walk-ons expected to report are:

  • Brett Bailey, a defensive back from Scott City.
  • Jason Farley, a tight end from Blue Valley.
  • Jake Fredenberg, a defensive lineman from Bellevue, Neb.
  • Ben Griffin, a wide receiver from Carrollton, Texas.
  • Aaron Hunt, an offensive lineman from Emporia.
  • Brandon Lacy, a transfer from Tennessee-Martin.
  • Nick McCaslin, an offensive lineman from Tulsa, Okla.
