Waco, Texas ? Sarah Clopton pitched a five-hitter as Kansas buried Baylor, 4-1, in Big 12 softball on Sunday. Christy McPhail had two hits, including a home run and two RBIs.
Christi Musser went 3-for-3 with a triple and one RBI, while Courtney Wright contributed two hits for KU, 25-24 and 3-9 in the Big 12. BU is 22-25, 2-7.
The Jayhawks, who collected 10 hits, scored a run in the second, two in the fourth and one in the sixth.
Next for KU is a doubleheader against Oklahoma City on Tuesday at Jayhawk Field.
