KU can hardly believe blowout

Adonis Jordan had every reason to expect he'd lead No. 1-ranked Kansas by Long Beach State on Monday night. The Jayhawks came in having won seven straight by an average of almost 26 points. "We'd been playing well on the road, and we were coming home," Jordan said. "I was thinking we should be able to blow them out here."

THEY MAY BE HAPPY, BUT 49ERS TIRED, TOO

Brian Camper sure didn't look like the happiest Long Beach State camper. He may very well have been, though. While his teammates were whooping and hollering after the 49ers' astonishing 64-49 victory over Kansas on Monday night in Allen Fieldhouse, Camper was sitting quietly on a bench in the locker room.

1500: Jordan, Walters like rims

Freedom Hall's rims are safe. Rex Walters and Adonis Jordan didn't stick them in their suitcases. . .as much as they would have liked to. "We really like the rims here," Walters said after he and his Kansas backcourt teammate put on a long-range shooting clinic in the Jayhawks' 98-77 victory over Louisville on Saturday night.
