The collegiate pole vaulters competed under sunny skies on Friday at Memorial Stadium. The developmental vaulters experienced ideal conditions on Saturday morning.

Traditionally, the Kansas basketball banquet belongs to the seniors, and Adonis Jordan, Eric Pauley and Rex Walters heard plenty of applause on Thursday night in Allen Fieldhouse.

Where were you in 1972? If you were at the Kansas Relays, you were a part of history. Never before and likely never again will a crowd as large as 32,000 file into Memorial Stadium to witness Mount Oread's traditional mid-April track and field fest.

Roy's wife 'along for the ride'

When Roy Williams and the Kansas Jayhawks take the floor of the New Orleans Superdome Saturday afternoon, Williams' wife, Wanda, will be in the stands cheering for "Roy's Boys" and probably wearing a red- and blue-accented suit that she's worn during earlier Kansas victories in the NCAA basketball tournament. Not that she's superstitious, mind you. It's mostly a matter of color coordination.
