First it was “Late Night with Larry Brown.”
Now it’s “Late Afternoon or Early Evening with the KU basketball team.”
The Jayhawks will hold their annual Blue-White scrimmage on Saturday at Allen Fieldhouse, approximately an hour after the conclusion of the Jayhawks’ football game with Oklahoma.
Brown is looking forward to the workout.
“We have fans all over the state who never get to see us because we’re sold out at home, so it gives them an opportunity to see us,” said Brown, starting his fifth year at Kansas.
“It’s a great opportunity for the kids to get some competition during preseason drills.”
Admission Saturday is a canned good or a dollar. All proceeds benefit the Emergency Services Council.
Brown has been pleased with the progress of his team in preseason scrimmages.
“It’s been good,” Brown said. “Our guys have been playing hard and that is what you ask for at this time of the year. Our new kids appear to be picking things up quickly and that’s a positive.”
