By Staff     Apr 19, 1923

The drawings for lanes in the various relay events of the first Kansas relay games, was made in Kansas City last night, by Coach Karl A. Sehlademan, Dr. J.A. Reilly Louis Menze and Louis Touton. The drawings were made at the Kansas City Athletic club.

In the high school class the entry list is so large that the schools will be paired off into two divisions, the different divisions running against time. In a few of the University and College relays, the teams must also be divided into two divisions.

The University of Kansas will be represented by five relay teams: in the quarter mile relays, half mile, one mile, two mile and four mile. The Jayhawker school has entered every relay event in the University class with the exception of the medley.

In the quarter-mile relay, Kansas drew the first lane, in the half-mile the Jayhawkers will be running in the first lane, in the 1 mile relay the K.U. quartet will be in the fourth lane, in the 2 mile they drew seventh place an in the 4 mile, fifth.

The University of Wisconsin drew the first lane in the medley relay of the University class, with Pennsylvania running in the second lane. In this event there will be eleven universities running, the University of Missouri, getting last place.
