Rain insurance for the Relays

Dr. F.C. Allen, director of athletics at the University announced today that he had taken out $5,000 rain insurance3 for the first annual University of Kansas Relay games, which will be held on the Stadium field on Saturday of this week.

If one-tenth of an inch of rain falls on the Stadium field between the hours of 7 a.m. and noon on Saturday, the University Athletic association will receive the $5,000.

Dr. Allen also announced today that all the main railroads in the country will give fare and one-half to all persons coming to Lawrence for the Relays. This includes all the spectators as well as the various athletic teams. To get the fare and one-half the individuals and coaches must secure certificates, from the railroad companies
