New York — Seeing how it’s the first official day of the college basketball season, it only makes sense to take a look at the championship odds entering the 2019-20 campaign.

We already know that tonight’s Champions Classic at Madison Square Garden features the top four ranked teams in the preseason Associated Press Top 25.

So it also makes sense that those four teams are also the four favorites to cut down the nets in Atlanta in April, according to the folks at FanDuel.com.

Here’s a quick look at the top 10 favorites according to FanDuel:

Michigan State – 7-1

Kentucky – 8-1

Duke – 9-1

Kansas – 12-1

Memphis – 13-1

North Carolina – 14-1

Virginia – 15-1

Florida – 17-1

Gonzaga – 17-1

Louisville – 17-1

If you want to get in on any of the future action or perhaps even place a wager on either of tonight’s games — FanDuel has KU as a 2.5-point favorite over Duke and top-ranked Michigan State is a 3-point favorite over Kentucky, be sure to check them out for all your daily fantasy sports needs and more.

Also worth noting via the FanDuel preseason odds is the regular season win total. FanDuel lists KU’s number at 23.5. With 31 regular season games on KU’s schedule, taking the over would mean you think the Jayhawks will be 24-7 or better heading into the Big 12 tournament in Kansas City, Mo., in March.

Taking the under, therefore, means you think KU will loose at least eight games this regular season.

Real quick, before we move on to the countdown to tonight’s tipoff between Duke and Kansas, Coach K and Bill Self — 6 p.m. Central on ESPN and ESPN+ — here are a few other odds of interest from the guys at SportsBettingDime.com (@SBD on Twitter).
