A few links following Kansas' 61-44 victory over Baylor on Monday night ...
• Pay Heed: Episode 10 was released Monday by KU Athletics, and once again, it provides a look inside the locker room, this time following KU's 97-89 overtime victory over Iowa State on Wednesday.
KU coach Bill Self's postgame talk begins about the four-minute mark, as he tells his team it's one of the best three or four wins he's had in the Fieldhouse in his 10 years coaching there.
"I don't know if you guys realize," Self tells his players in the video, "we were dead. Dead."
• KU Athletics also has started an "AirMcLemore" website to promote freshman guard Ben McLemore.
• Former KU forward Thomas Robinson was involved in a car accident Monday night, according to the Sacramento Bee. Robinson was not injured in the crash.
• The blog Rock Chalk Talk takes a funny look at conclusions we can make about each KU basketball player based on what they are doing in the now-famous Ben McLemore dancing GIF.
• Some highlights from KU's win over Baylor from KU Athletics.
• The Waco Tribune's John Werner started his game story talking about KU's 13 blocks:
With 16,300 fans cramming into Allen Fieldhouse for Monday’s Baylor-Kansas showdown, the ones sitting closest to courtside found themselves in grave danger.
Hard hats and protective vests would have been in order.
The Jayhawks swatted away Baylor shots at an alarming rate, leaving balls flying everywhere.
• ESPN's Jason King talked about Allen Fieldhouse — one of the loudest gyms in college basketball — becoming silent after McLemore's injury.
• FoxSports.com's Sean Keeler was so impressed with KU's defense that he believes it's almost time to start engraving the Big 12 trophy.
This from Keeler's column:
If this is the second best the Big 12 has to offer (and that's up for debate), then it's high time we put a bow on this bad boy, once and for all, and wrap that puppy up tight. Here you go, Bill Self. League Title No. 9. You're going to need a bigger shelf, buddy.
• An interesting stat in C.J. Moore's latest blog post: KU is plus-259 with Jeff Withey on the court this year and only plus-20 when he's on the bench.
• Here's more on Self's Oklahoma Hall of Fame induction from The Oklahoman's Jenni Carlson.
• KU has moved up to a No. 1 seed in Joe Lunardi's Bracketology on ESPN.
• And finally, a picture from our own Nick Krug that might just win an award in the near future. Just wanted to make sure you didn't miss it.

This is a great article for the tidbits that most of us want. A little disappointed that you didn't include a blurp about Josh Selby missing some time attending a funeral of a family member last week.

Ha. Can't catch them all.
I'd be happy to take suggestions at jnewell@ljworld.com, though, if you guys see something you think should be on here.

What ever happened to the young guy (forget his name) who wrote the NBA blog last year?

To be honest about CJ Moores analysis, I don't think it's fair to put Withey on that pedestal. With him averaging less than 2 fouls per game, he plays the majority of the game. Most of his minutes missed are when we have the game in hand and give him a break. Ellis and traylor are not going to push the offense like Withey can. Teams can sag off of those two and focus more on guarding our guards. Is Withey that important? Yes. We wouldn't be top 10 without him. But is he 230+ points important? I don't think so.

That is a great picture, but I thought the one of McLemore dunking in the TTech game was even better. He's looking down and the TTech player is looking up at him.
Great pictures by Nick Krug and great roundup articles by Jesse. Keep it up, guys!

Nice ride, Thomas! Glad hes OK.
Not sure about a second car being involved though... Looks like he might have hit the curb there.

Regarding Nick's picture, I guess no harm no foul.

Girl with her head in her hands at 3:35 of Pay Heed? Priceless! I almost teared up with pride. Our fans are on another planet. You all amaze me. The depth and intensity of KU fan-hood is completely pure and unrivaled.
-I would like Joe Lunardi's latest bracket frozen and kept for March.
-What awards have that photo been submitted too? It's certainly worthy.
-Sean Keeler is an entertaining sports writer. I'll have to read him more.
-TRob. Hmm. I want to remain positive, but between his friend shooing away photographers after the accident, the fact that his airbags deployed and looking at the picture (He definitely hit somebody squarely, bumper to bumper, with his front one.) I have to be at least a little skeptical. Perhaps one should get the feel of driving before they purchase a $100k, 500hp Porsche Panamera. Not exactly the best example for young Jayla. Sorry, just the father in me. Once I hear he's okay, I immediately begin the questioning. It's only cuz I love ya Thomas. Stay safe, and be good.

No other car involved, he just took the curve too late and too fast. I see it all the time in southern JoCo with young kids and their supped up cars; busted front end is the usual result. Many cars can go fast and most any one can drive fast; very few of either can do it safely.

Zoom in on that front bumper closely. He hit something at some point. Diagonal scratches pressed into the paint. It probably spun him around into the curb. Or maybe it was a separate accident but I've been rear-ended twice in the last 10 years and both times the scuff look like those on the front bumper of TRobs jet.

According to TRob, he just turned too late and too fast... http://www.cowbellkingdom.com/2013/01/15/watch-thomas-robinson-ok-and-practices-after-monday-car-accident/

Yeah, sounds legit. Maybe that curb is high enough to smack the bumper. It does look pretty high and that Porsche sits pretty low.

I don't; know if anyone noticed that the pay heed episode was narrated by Wayne Simien and the last song was produced by Julian Wright.
