This is from the info section of the video on YouTube:The University of Kansas Women's Volleyball team and Men's Basketball team combined to create a skit called "Jayhawk Musical" for the 2009 University of Kansas Student-Athlete variety show called Jayrock. The skit is based entirely off of High School Musical 1, High School Musical 2, and High School Musical 3. If you love KU Basketball, KU Volleyball, or High School Musical, you will love this video!

It's good to know that Teahan has a sense of humor about he whole comparison. And as someone who has seen all three HSM movies (I'm not "proud" of it- btw, a fourth movie is already in the works), this skit made all those seemingly wasted hours worthwhile. Nice work ladies! Did you let Coach Bechard help choreograph the dance?

ok...i was at the KU vs CU game last week...and my thoughts exactly! I told my wife that Teahan could be Troy Bolton. Glad someone else put it together. And I am also pretty excited that someone put together a mock HSM - nothing could have made it better then to have had Teahan as Troy Bolton though. Well done!

I just watched it, and while I've never seen the HSM movies, I thought it was hilarious. At this point, it's just a matter of time before Misery and Puttytat fans rip this thing apart with all sorts of nasty comments. Let 'em. I'll encourage our student athletes to answer with our game play.

since the first time I saw that he had commited to play for KU I thought we had scored a commitment from Zac Efron. He also kinda looks like one of the characters on Gossip Girl (my wife watches it...)

hirschtodd, that was hilarious. And calm down there darnelljackson32. There's no need to hate on the guy. I guess you wouldn't want to be a KU basketball player "messing around" with all the female athletes? And I thought you were a douche before that comment! Don't hate the (KU) player, etc....

I've said for years that Tyrel Reed is a much better actor than Teahan. It's apparent that Teahan was type cast for the role. By the way, lighten up Djack, Teahan is a brave and decent man. Just because you're suppressing some very strong homosexual desires doesn't mean that everyone around you is gay.

bigsweaty15-Did you say it's obvious that Teahan was "type cast for the role"? Of course he was! That video wouldn't have worked without him. The whole point is that he looks like the High School Musical kid. So, irregardless of the other players acting skills, no one else could have been in that video.

Bulletin: Cause of Teahan's Loss of Shooting Touch Possibly Discovered...An anonymous tip from a co-ed calling herself The Queen of Teahan's KU Harem indicated that over 3000 women a week approach and flirt with Conner Teahan on campus. Teahan has reputedly not had an uninterrupted night of sleep since country club week, because of door bell ringing, round the clock texting, and just plain grovelling for a date from the ground floor of his Jayhawker Towers apt. The young man is so handsome and distracting to KU co-eds that KU's Dean of Women, Deirdre Steellilly, has complained to Chancellor Hemenway that the aggregate GPA of KU women students has fallen 22.38% since Teahan arrived on campus as a freshman! Teahan, for his part, is rumored to be completely overwhelmed by the attention and has withdrawn into celibacy in order to cope. Coach Bill Self reputedly is concerned about the adverse effect of all the feminine attention paid Teahan, too. He thinks it is adversely affecting Teahan's concentration and ruining what many believed to have been the greatest shooting touch in the last 20 years. Famed KU Professor of Human Sexuality, Dr. Frank Dilbert, is reputedly completing a study on the phenomenon of student athlete Teahan's remarkable effect on the opposite sex, not only on campus, but across the state of Kansas. Dr. Dilbert said, "Our survery research indicates that on the nights of televised KU basketball games, when Teahan plays even mop-up minutes, over half the married women in the state of Kansas call out Conner's name during love making." Dilbert's research also indicates that husbands of these married woman don't care whose name their wives call out during love making. This story is enveloping.
