Coaching rumors, gossip plentiful
Unfortunately, the attention schools deserve to receive for reaching the NCAA Tournament can be overshadowed by the coaching search gossip. There was no shortage of that being whispered Friday in the Palace.

If it had been a player from a nearby school throwing down dunks at the end of Thursday's open-to-the-public workout the way Julian Wright and Rod Stewart were throwing them down for Kansas, The Palace would have erupted.

The nice thing about an airport layover is it gives you a chance to stretch your legs. You get plenty of exercise trying (and failing) to find somewhere you can't hear the looped recording that every eight seconds advises, "Caution: The walkway is ending."
