KU quarterback Carter Stanley on improvements he can make for Week 3

Kansas quarterback Carter Stanley speaks to reporters Monday afternoon ahead of the team's Week 3 matchup with Boston College.

After throwing a pair of interceptions in the loss to Coastal Carolina last weekend, Stanley admitted that he can make improvements. KU head coach Les Miles admitted Monday that Stanley is still his starting QB.

Kansas will travel to Boston College at 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Sophomore RB Pooka Williams on his 1st game back for Jayhawks

Kansas running back Pooka Williams spoke to reporters Saturday night following the team's 12-7 loss to Coastal Carolina.

Williams, who served a one-game suspension in the season opener, ran for 101 yards on 22 carries. The Jayhawks ran for just 173 yards on 37 attempts in the loss to the Chanticleers.

Kansas will travel to Boston College on Friday.

With the loss, the Jayhawks fall to 1-1 to start the 2019 season. It marked the first time that the Chanticleers have defeated a Power 5 football team in program history.

Kansas head coach Les Miles spoke to reporters Monday afternoon ahead of the team's matchup with Coastal Carolina.

The Jayhawks are coming off a 24-17 win over Indiana State in the season opener, giving Miles a victory in his first game with KU. Coastal Carolina, meanwhile, is coming off a 30-23 loss to Eastern Michigan.

Kansas will play host to Coastal Carolina at 6 p.m. Saturday.

KU starting quarterback Carter Stanley on performance against Indiana State

Quarterback Carter Stanley spoke to reporters following KU's 24-17 win over Indiana State Saturday afternoon at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.

Earlier this week, Stanley found out that he had earned the starting job for the first game under head coach Les Miles. Stanley connected with Daylon Charlot for a 22-yard connection with 2:20 left in the game, which proved to be the game-winning score.

Stanley went 20-for-29 for 241 yards and two touchdowns.

Senior CB Hasan Defense on KU’s 2 takeaways in Week 1

Kansas senior cornerback Hasan Defense spoke to reporters Saturday afternoon at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.

The Jayhawks, who averaged 2.25 turnovers forced last season, produced a pair of takeaways in the 2019 season opener. Defense recorded a 57-yard interception return for a touchdown with 8:43 left in the first quarter.

Senior safety Jeremiah McCullough also recorded an interception for Kansas, which proved to be a crucial sequence in the second half.

Senior running back Khalil Herbert spoke to reporters Saturday afternoon following KU's 24-17 win over Indiana State at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.

"A win is a win," Herbert said.

The Jayhawks needed a late comeback to take down a FCS foe, as Carter Stanley and Daylon Charlot linked up for a 22-yard connection with 2:20 left in the game.
