David Beaty, who is in his fourth season at the helm, spoke to reporters ahead of the final non-conference game against Rutgers. The Jayhawks (1-1) are coming off their first road game since 2009 after claiming a 31-7 victory at Central Michigan.

Kansas dropped its only meeting with Rutgers, suffering a 27-14 loss on Sept. 26, 2015.

Former quarterback Todd Reesing, who owns 14 school records, will also have his name added to the Ring of Honor this weekend.

The game is slated to start at 11 a.m. Saturday.
